Le Mans - 1h50 in
Well, the big diesel battle we were all expecting is a cracker. The Pugs are 1-2-3, the Audis 4-5-6, and although the Audis look to be quicker in a straight line the Pugs are faster round a lap. McNish (Audi) and Stephan Sarrazin (Peugeot) are going like a man with his arse on fire. The lead Pescarolo and the gorgeous Charouz/Prodrive Lola-Aston coupe are doing well, but this is not a race for petrol LMP1s.

The two Porsche RS Spyders have LMP2 well under control with the Danish car ahead of the Dutch one, and the Sebah Lola coupe hanging on well.

The Corvettes and Astons are trading places pretty regularly in GT1, and this will as ever be a struggle right to the flag, and down in GT2 it looks like the Porsches have a slight edge over the Ferraris.

The pace is relentless this year, the race looks like it's going to be a 24-hour sprint. Great weather so far, pretty good reliability too.

I get the impression Peugeot will win this one and the ACO will then 'equalise' petrol and diesel for next year.
