So. I'm back in Virginia, obviously.

It's okay. It's nice to be back with my family. I'm really pleased that I'll be here for my brother's birth and at least his first year of life. It's nice to be back with some of my friends that I've known for years, as they know me better than most other folks.

And it's nice to be back in my own house. I like it. And not around college kids any more. It's nice to look out of my window and see a sleepy suburban street.

I now have a car - it's an older Nissan Altima. It's from the mid-1990s. My mother purchased it for me and now it's sitting in our driveway, waiting for tags and plates. That will get done Tuesday. The people we bought it from kept it in ridiculously good condition and pretty much only got rid of it because they had a child and were gifted an SUV by the girlfriend's mum. My car is older, but I don't care. It's a 1994 and it's younger than my old car was. I'm not the kind of person who needs a new car. My only car requirements are that it runs and that it's not an American company (sorry - the quality of the American car companies just cannot compare to that of the foreign companies. We're a Japanese car company kind of family. My mom also has a Nissan Altima - a 2002 or 2003 and her last car was a Subaru Legacy that lasted forever and only died due to human error. It was a 1993 that died in 2005 due to something my mother did. Prior to that, it never needed any major replacements or fixings. Biggest thing that needed replacing was a timing belt. When it died, it totally had well over 200,000 miles on it. When my parents were married and we lived in another county, my mom drove 50 miles to work 5 days a week - 100 miles in a day. Such a good car. I miss it.)

So..yeah. That is my life back in Virginia so far.
