Turns out that yesterday when I was filling my damaged Cadillac with gas, that a good amount of it was trickling back out of the gas line onto the ground through a pinhole leak. After driving it to work, hoping that I wasn't going to explode, I decided that the old Caddy was finally done for.

Consequently I bought a new car. Well, I bought a used car. But it is new to me.

I went for the safe approach and got an 04' Toyota Corolla. If you want to be technical, it is the "S" trim package, which I assume stands for "Sport". However, there is nothing sporty about it, so I like to imagine that the "S" stands for "Sunroof". Because it has one. It is not in the least bit an exciting or flashy car. But it is a reliable, efficient one. So I put the money down, got it financed, switched all of the insurance information over, and drove off with the Corolla.

And I'm pumped about being rated as having 25/34 miles per gallon as opposed to the 15/25 of the Caddy (according to www.fueleconomy.gov). But then again, the Toyota's engine is like a third the size.

So this is the damage to the Cadillac. It doesn't take an accident reconstructionist to tell you that this is scrunched up pretty badly.

This is a picture of the new Corolla. Excuse my use of a stock photo, but it's dark outside and even if it wasn't, I don't feel like moving to go down there. Anyway, it looks exactly the same except it is white and doesn't have a stupid spoiler (thank God). I mean, a spoiler on a Toyota is kind of suspicious.
