My issues with these designs is that they all scream "small car!" to me.

Whenever I see a small car on the road in front of me, I cannot help but think
- why is that POS blocking my way?
- you should not drive that toy car on the grown-ups' road!

They all seem underpowered and fragile. Their drivers rarely dare go much above 50 kph when there is a hint of snow in the air (or worse yet: a snow crystal actually made it all the way to the road). They rarely squeeze by large trucks, making sure a line eventually forms behind them. (I sometimes overtake 5-6 cars and a couple of trucks in one go...)

I love the old 96 though, but I do not associate it with a small car at all. I also like the 9-x concept, but again it is a bit on the 'larger' side perhaps?

I doubt many here would bother much with a small Saab, but that is perhaps not the point. The point is to have something that new customers can get started with. Something that allows them to choose something that isn't another Renault or Honda.
